Thomas B. Clark, DC, RVT, RMSK

Founder of MSKUS, is an internationally-recognized musculoskeletal ultrasound practitioner, anatomy expert, author and educator with over 30 years experience in the medical industry. He is a Musculoskeletal Sonologist and registered vascular technologist. He conducts regional workshops & On-Site Trainings in the United States & internationally to teach Ultrasound and Needle Guidance. He has authored dozens of publications on medical ultrasound along with traveling internationally to present and lecture. He has recently traveled to India, Spain, Hong Kong, Germany, Australia, Italy & Dubai as an invited speaker & faculty member for Ultrasound related conferences.

in Avon, CT, since August 2002 upon completing his Sports Medicine Fellowship at Sports Care/The Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He is a graduate of the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Athens, Ohio, where he also completed an undergraduate fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. He did his family practice residency at Doctors Hospital, in Massillon, Ohio.  He is board certified in three specialties: Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, Sports Medicine, and Neuro-musculoskeletal Medicine.  In 2009 Dr. Kozar was awarded the honor of becoming a Fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine.
Currently, he serves as a team physician for the University of Hartford and Bloomfield High School, while caring for many of the professional and recreational athletes in the local and surrounding NE USA. His medical interests are further study into anatomy, functional movement, neuromuscular firing patterns as they relate to dysfunction and rehabilitation, and the use of diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Valley Sports Physicians, in Avon, CT, in 1995, where he specializes in sports medicine and non-surgical orthopedics. He is a team physician for the University of Hartford, the U.S Figure Skating Team, and several local high schools. A 1991 graduate of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Tortland completed a residency in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and a fellowship in Sports Medicine. He is board certified in Sports Medicine, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, and Family Practice, and he is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.


Scott Waugh, MD, RMSK

in Edmond, Oklahoma since completing fellowship in 2008. He is a graduate of Baylor University and the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed his family practice residency in Richmond, VA before moving back home to Oklahoma for the sports medicine fellowship again at the University of Oklahoma. Between 2008 and 2013 he was the team physician for the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma Christian University and several large high schools in the area. In 2014, he started his own practice in non-surgical orthopedics using the skills he learned with MSKUS to diagnose and accurately treat musculoskeletal conditions with MSK ultrasound. Currently, Dr. Waugh also uses platelet rich plasma and stem cell injections to treat many orthopedic conditions. Dr. Waugh is board certified in family medicine with added qualifications in primary care sports medicine and is credentialed by the ARDMS for musculoskeletal ultrasound (RMSK). He has been attending MSKUS courses since 2009 and has been on faculty with MSKUS since 2012. He also serves as an associate faculty member of the sports medicine fellowship, teaching MSK ultrasound to residents and fellows at OU.

where she practices Rheumatology. Dr. Pineda has been performing ultrasound guided injections since 2006. Dr. Pineda is the first in South Texas to provide cutting edge therapies such as Ultrasound-guided Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy for various joint and soft tissue ailments, Ultrasound-guided Stem Cell injection Therapy and Fat Graft Injection for Osteoarthritis of the knee.

Dr. Pineda graduated from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines. She completed her Internal Medicine residency in Sound Shore Medical Center, New Rochelle, New York. She completed her Rheumatology Fellowship at the prestigious Brown University Program, Providence, Rhode Island. She started private practice in Michigan in 1998. In 2005, she and her family moved from Michigan to San Antonio, which she now calls home. Dr. Pineda is a Board-certified Rheumatologist. After retiring from the Army in 2004 he assumed the position as the Program Director of the VCU-Fairfax Family Practice Sports Medicine Fellowship. Dr Howard has over 15 years of experience in the office practicing sports medicine as well field side coverage at the high school, collegiate and professional levels. Dr Howard runs a very active sports clinic that offers injury and overuse evaluation, stress testing, musculoskeletal ultrasound (diagnostic and guided injections) and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy for tendinopathies.

Injury Center" in Hong Kong. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine in the University of Hong Kong. He is a specialist in Family Medicine in HK and specialized trained in Musculoskeletal Medicine and Sports Medicine. He has been travelling around the world to learn different Musculoskeletal skills and skills to treat sports injuries. He received his Post-Graduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine from the University of Otago in New Zealand. He learned manipulative skill in France and the Michigan State University. He learned prolotherapy from the American Academy of Musculoskeletal Medicine (AAMM) since 2003, and later the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine (AAOM) since 2007. He is a board certified Prolotherapist from AAOM since 2010. Dr. Lam received Master of Science in Sports Medicine & Health Science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine from the University of Bath of United Kingdom.


Dr Lam has started ultrasound guided intervention to help accurate needle placement in assisting Prolotherapy, PRP injections, Facet Blocks and Nerve Blocks since 2010 after studying musculoskeletal ultrasound guided interventional techniques from MSKUS from Dr. Tom Clark, with great success.


Dr Lam has been treating patients from Mainland of China and around the world. His medical interests are researches into Prolotherapy and PRP as a treatment to various sports injuries and musculoskeletal pain due to degeneration; biomechanical anomalies assessment and their contribution to dysfunction and rehabilitation; and the use of diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal ultrasound.
